Limited batch of what we can really only describe as a “money run” C-line MD1s, now available with the Huk Ring stamp!
The best run of mids we've made?
Now, these discs do not originate from some kind of extra special and limited run of discs that's super elusive and difficult to track down. Instead, these come from the current stock run - One we could describe among the best runs of ANY disc we've ever done at any point of our brand's almost 20 years existence.
As we often do, when we run new stock production, we also set some aside as blanks to be used for special little drops like this one. Discs from the same run have also been offered with the Huk Dye. You might just as well get a disc from the same run by purchasing the stock product, but as stock products might always have individual discs from different batches of production in their inventory, picking this is the safer bet if you want to get some of these "money runs".
To be fair though, it's worth noting that there really isn't a single bad run of C-line MD1's out there, but these just rise to the top in terms of truly having that ultra-high 6 glide and a real 0 turn, 0 fade finish. The very first stock run was very much like this as well, while the 2nd run of stock C-MD1's had a touch more fade, similarly to the 15-year Mystery Box C-line MD1's.
Profile-wise you can expect what we feel is the optimal shape for this type of mid - very slight, rounded and perfectly balanced dome that allows for that high glide, resistance to turn and a straight finish. And the MD1 rim shape that just hugs your fingers.
About the MD1 mold
It’s no surprise that the MD1 is one of our best-selling discs. This extremely neutral-flying midrange suits a wide variety of players, and everyone can benefit from having one in their arsenal.
The MD1 was the very first Discmania mold back in 2006. When we reinvented it in 2021, our goal was to create the gold standard for straight-flying midranges — and it’s fair to say we achieved exactly that. You can shape any line and trust the MD1 to hold it, finishing with its signature glide.
The MD1 is a great choice for all skill levels and a true go-to midrange for building your approach game. Add one to your bag for accurate, straight-line shots!
Pro tip: If you're having release issues with these or just mids in general, and you tend to throw them with a power grip (or a modification of that), change to a fan grip release. It's a bit of an adjustment, but with these there's enough grip for your fingers and you'll quickly lose any wobble on the release - not to mention how much easier it becomes to adjust the release point and angle.
